Due to COVID-19 all programs are held online and are open to everyone to provide educational services in a time where students are facing a new learning environment. All timings are in EDT.

Math Tutoring

By appointment

One-on-one tutoring for students who need help with school math. (eg. pre-algebra, number sense, arithmetic, data analysis, geometry, graphing, measurements, probability, statistics, trigonometry, algebra ii, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus (AB or BC), multivariable calculus, etc.)

Computer Science Tutoring

By Appointment

One-on-one tutoring for students who need help with or wish to learn more school-level computer science. (eg. Java, Javascript, HTML, Python, Android development)

*for students with previous programming experience

AMC 8

Time: Friday, 8 pm

Group class for students in elementary and middle school who wish to go beyond school level math and join math competitions. The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple choice examination on middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. High scoring participants can proceed to take the AMC 10 and beyond.

*Recommended for students who consistently score lower than 22 on practice tests and are in 7th grade or below

 

AMC 10

Time: SunDay, 4 pm

Group class for students in middle and high school who wish to go beyond school level math and join math competitions. The AMC 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple choice examinations on high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The AMC 10 is for students in 10th grade and below, and covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. High scoring participants can proceed to take the AIME and beyond.

*Recommended for students who consistently score above 22 on AMC 8 exams or are in 8th grade and above.

 

Java

Time: Tuesday, 4 pm

Group class for students with an interest in building introductory skills in Java as a tool for future careers, courses, or interests. Great for students with little to no previous experience with computer programming. Topics covered will include Classes, Methods, Arrays, Loops, Methods, Inheritance, GUIs, and more.

*Recommended for students who are in 5th grade or higher

Python

Time: Monday, 6 pm

Group class for students with an interest in building Python skills as a tool for future careers, courses, or interests. Great for students with previous computer programming experience who wish to expand on their knowledge. Topics covered will include Modules and Packages, Console use, Algorithms, RegEx, and more

*Recommended for students who have previously taken a Computer Science course

 

Algebra 1

Time: Wednesday, 5 pm

Group class for students who have yet to take Algebra 1. Great for those who are looking for an introductory algebra class to prepare for the coming school year or other future instruction. This class will cover topics including Linear Equations, Inequalities, Radicals, Exponents, Systems of Equations, Polynomials, and more

*Recommended for students who have previously taken a pre-algebra course

 

Geometry

Time: Thursday, 8 pm

 

Group class for students who have yet to take Geometry. Great for those who are looking for an introductory geometry class to prepare for the coming school year or other future instruction. Will also cover Trigonometry. If you took Algebra with us before, this would be the next class math class you take at GWM.

*Recommended for students who have already taken an algebra course

Algebra 2/ Pre-Calculus

Time: Friday, 10 am

Group class for students who have yet to take Algebra 2. Great for those who are looking for an introductory algebra 2/pre- calculus class to prepare for the coming school year or other future instruction. Will cover Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus. If you took Geometry with us before, this would be the next class math class you take at GWM.

*Recommended for students who have already taken an geometry course

Chemistry

Time: Wednesday, 1 pm

Introductory class to basic chemistry that will build a foundation for future instruction. This class will cover States of Matter, Density, the Periodic Table, Bonding, Properties of Water, Chemical Reactions, etc.

*Recommended for students who have previously taken an algebra course

 

Introduction to Biology

Time: Friday, 6 pm

Introductory class to basic biology that will build a foundation for future instruction. This class will cover evolution, cells, genetics, classifications, anatomy, etc.

*Recommended for students who are in 5th grade or higher

 

Physics

Time: Thursday, 3 pm

Introductory class to basic physics that will build a foundation for future instruction. This class will cover Forces, Energy, Waves, etc.

*Recommended for students who have previously taken an algebra course
